John Locke was an English philosopher and physician, one of the most prominent Enlightenment thinkers, known as the “Father of Liberalism”. “An Essay Concerning Human Understanding” is a work by John Locke concerning the foundation of human knowledge and understanding. After 20 years of tweaking and perfecting, the final product consists of four different books. He describes the mind at birth as a "clean slate", filled later through experience.
