The first short story of an ongoing collection, Cherry (Elizabeth) is based in reality, but transitions to possibility. Cherry is a superhero to the most vulnerable victims, she has earned her appointment from on high via trial by fire and pain. She is both visible and invisible, understood yet inaudible, trusted but unseen. Cherry, né Elizabeth, is the first of a collection of unlikely heroes who redeem themselves as they save the voiceless in unlikely and necessary ways.
