Many miles and many skips have passed since I sat down at the computer to begin a book on stone skipping. I have now shared skipping stones with persons from all over this planet, male and female, children and seniors.
One thing is certain: Skipping stones is a fun and joyful activity whether it is done in complete solitude, with a parent, grandparent, friend or in front of hundreds at a tournament. It is feel-good recreation and a wonderful cure for the blues or other mundane, worldly, everyday stress.
If you practice the secrets and tips that I have written for you in this book, I promise your stone skipping ability will be very quickly improved and this always results in any activity being more fun.
You are never too big, too little, too fat, too skinny, too strong or too weak to stop – pick up a flat stone and launch it rebounding out over the water, leaving behind the beautiful concentric rings shimmering out in magical circles.
Skip a stone, then take a deep breath, look up at the heavens, and smile.
Follow my suggestions in this book, Stone Skipping - The Complete Guide, and most of all have fun! The secret to championship stone skipping is the same as the pathway to Carnegie Hall and success in most all endeavors.
Practice, practice, practice!
Stone skipping is a magical and powerful dance.
Go find some flat stones and enjoy!
