While exploring the fire pits on the outskirts of town, 17-year old Dalziel discovers a mysterious pulsating stone. He soon learns that he’s found an ancient Seraph stone—an object that allows him to fly and wield a powerful elemental magic, fire. With the evil Andal Empire closing in on his people, Dalziel realizes that his new found power could help save his dying country.
When his younger brother Soren is murdered by Andal soldiers during conscription day, Dalziel is driven into a vengeful fury. He ascends and summons fire to destroy all the Andals in the town square, enraging the Andal army and provoking what is sure to be a brutal reprisal.
Dalziel flees into the forest to seek assistance from the druids—the only ones who still possess knowledge of sorcery and the magic arts. Dalziel becomes the ember that sparks the flame of an epic war, engulfing everything he loves and everyone he cares for. It’s up to him to defeat the encroaching legions of the Andal Empire, or else all is lost.
