COINs operate based on three key principles: First, in order to gain power one needs to give away power, second, COINs are fuelled by intrinsic motivation, and third, cool ideas are found by finding the cool people. The key to success of creative swarms is to communicate effectively. If a business operates as a swarm business it becomes much more resilient against ôBlack Swansö û huge unforeseeable events.
