Young Jan is sent to live with relatives in the country, fearing a Nazi invasion. As fate would have it, the Nazi set up a staging base near the small hamlet Jan's parents thought was safe. Nazi officials took up residence with local families for the comforts men of such stature deserved, including not only meals and a bed, and whatever else their hearts desired. A colonel took a shining to Jan and claimed him as his own, Jan's uncle having little power to prevent the boy's abuse heard long into the night. At least the man was leaving the daughter and wife alone. Not much historical information is available about the Nazi's homosexuality and pederasty, rounding up homosexuals who were flagrant subservients, not to be associated with the masculine Nazi version. History later covered up most of the Nazi's atrocities and sexual preferences, the New Germany not wishing to air anymore dirty laundry about their already tarnished past reputation they were trying to live down in the world wide opinion of them.
