Slimming and the Supermind


For the vast majority of people losing weight is very difficult. For them, slimming is endless days of suffering, stretching out before them like a prison sentence with no apparent end. And that indeed, is a realistic perception of what slimming really will be like for most people. That is why so few people are able to lose weight! They are deprived of one of their main pleasures in life, if not the main pleasure in their life – eating.
For such people there are only two choices – either to remain over weight for the rest of their lives, or to open their minds to a new perception of slimming which will make losing weight easy! I call it Supermind!

How is it possible? You will learn to use the natural talents that we all have within us. True – people have different talents. Some people are good at sport – others are not, some people can act or sing in public which is well beyond the talent of most of us.
But some talents and abilities we share - like the will to survive and to live a full and rewarding life. We all have the ability to love and care for others like our family and friends. We can all be moved to great feats of endurance or strength if called upon to do so in an emergency. The talent to lose weight is within us all. It’s a natural talent that we are all born with but sometimes it needs to be sought out – polished up a little – and shown the light of day.
There is a correct way of slimming that should be second nature to us but many of us have lost sight of that ability. That knowledge should not be regarded lightly and must be valued and treasured when found. Helping you to find that ability is the aim of this book. It will not be a quick, short dramatic journey that may be a shock to your system and achieve nothing – it will be a long, gentle, interesting journey of self discovery. Although immediate weight loss may well occur and continued weight loss until the correct weight is achieved, this is a plan for life. When you have reached the correct weight for your height and age, your weight will stop reducing but you will continue to eat correctly.
On the plan there will be a small but important demand upon your time each day. For the first two to three months only, you will need to set aside about ten to fifteen minutes per day. Second, you need to understand that from the moment you start, the world is going to conspire against you, to try to interrupt your progress or try to make you stop - but those fifteen minutes a day are a priority.
You may be going on holiday – or perhaps Christmas is coming shortly – perhaps you’ve has such a busy day that you think that for just one day, you need not work on the plan. If Christmas is around the corner – or holidays are fast approaching, you must still follow the instructions in the book, right through the holiday. A holiday may make it a little more difficult – but it is not an excuse to relax your eating regime. If that sounds rather a daunting task – the good side is that you may well be watching your weight tumbling down.
Inevitably many people will have tried to lose weight before, perhaps making several serious attempts without success. Some may have abandoned all hope of ever losing weight, some perhaps have tried violent and strenuous exercise wrongly thinking that to be the solution, yet others will have become depressed about the whole subject and have accepted defeat. Make sure that past failures do not work against you now and stop you achieving success in the future.
The truth of the matter is that if losing weight is rewarding and exciting – it is not difficult at all - it is easy!
