The three volume set, Palestine, Lebanon & Syria: Commentary and Analysis of Regional Political Issues and Events present nearly a decade of articles, commentary and media interviews by Franklin Lamb. Written from the Middle East including from various locations in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Iran, Turkey and Iraq. Many of the writings include Lamb’s advocacy of Civil Rights for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, where, unlike any other country, even the most elementary civils rights to work and to own a home are still, after 64 years as refugees from their country, Palestine are being denied them in direct contravention of the most elementary principles, standards and rules of international humanitarian law.
As a resident of South Beirut’s Dahiyeh the past few years Lamb has also studied and written, sometimes critically, about the Hezbollah “Resistance” movement, which has great influence among the half a million mostly Muslim-Shia and a Christian minority, call home.
