One part of a series of 9 volumes recording Irish and Celtic tales these are stories from the pens of some of the greatest Irish, English and other authors. The contributing authors are listed below with selections of short stories from each author are spread through all 9 volumes where credit has been given to some but not others. My apologies to those not credited. This list is not as complete as I would wish as there were many cases where for one reason or another I was unable to identify or verify the author.
There was a tendency for a few authors to take ideas from their colleagues and write their own versions of the story and this may become evident as you go through the series but should not diminish from your pleasure of reading these stories which will either make you laugh, cry or both as you catch the humour and pathos of the individual tales.
