This poem is about Santa Claus being depressed after delivering the gifts at Christmas. He feels that there is too much emphasis on gifts – there is nothing wrong about exchanging gifts for that gives everyone a chance to give and to receive but there should be more emphasis on being with family – especially at Christmas. Santa finally has sent a message to the world about his concern and then is relieved that all will get the message and is ready to to his job once again. Bert is 82 years old, born in Canada.
