This book focuses on my visits to seventeen countries in East, West, North, Southern Africa and parts of Northeast Africa, from the mid-1990 to mid-2000 and my own impressions. Although each region is different for a number of reasons, the one thing I found that they all have in common is what I describe as African Hospitality. What is African hospitality? It is the ability of its people to make visitors feel welcome, to give assistance when needed, and displaying a generosity of spirit. This seems to come naturally to Africans on the Continent, which may in part explain why historically they have endured so much exploitation. Many may disagree with this philosophy, but I base my viewpoint on my own experiences.
