Whitelocke continues the negotiation. Now was the heat of Whitelocke’s business, and many cross endeavours used to render all his labours fruitless, and to bring his treaty to no effect. But it pleased God, in whom his confidence was placed, to carry him through all his difficulties, and to give his blessing and success to this negotiation.…
Fighting for the club broke their relationship apart. Now Dex will fight for something else – the woman that he can’t live without.
After working for months to clean up the Hell Raisers Motorcycle Club, Dex is finally in charge of a legitimate, profitable club – one that he can feel good about running when he goes to sleep at night. With multiple businesses to bring in cash and the full support of almost all the remaining members, everything with the club is going better than expected. But, there’s one problem. Zoe won’t speak to him.
After weeks of trying to forget his name, Zoe is finally starting to get back to her old life, a life without Dex Thompson. Suddenly, he’s back – invading her space, leaving her gifts, and trying to work his way back into her heart. A broken heart, but one he promises to heal, and never harm again. But Zoe can’t forgive that easily.
As Dex works to stabilize a club that’s essentially brand new, and tries to keep old habits from sneaking back in, Zoe tries to guard her heart as he fights to earn a place back in her life. And when another club member offers to help Zoe heal, Dex is forced to act in a big way, to prove to Zoe that he can be the man she needs.
Will Zoe be able to keep her guard up against Dex’s promises and declarations? And is that even what she wants? Or will she give in, and in doing so, give them both the one thing they still want?
