The Seventh Day of the Lord


How often we hear someone say, “we just can’t know what God is thinking or what He is going to do,” and they use scripture to justify that mistaken notion. As long as one thinks like that, he will never occupy a place of dominion and authority on this earth. Yes, these verses do tell us that God thinks and acts on an infinitely higher level than we do. And so He does! However, the Bible tells us (in more than one place) that God will reveal to the saints what He is going to do. Jesus said that He has made known everything that He heard from the Father. Not only that, but God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. Therefore, we are to listen attentively with our spiritual ears so that we can hear Him when He speaks to us. He does speak to us, contrary to what you might think. We just need to learn how to be still and listen.
