A leisurely two and a half hours stroll through a variety of limestone terrain, The Malham Cove Trail is for walkers for pleasure. From Malham village, the walker is taken through fields, meadows and woodland alongside Gordale Beck to Janet's Foss, a place of beauty, legend and magic. From there, the walk goes up through an Iron Age settlement and medieval terraced fields onto moors, before descending to Malham Cove. The return to the village runs parallel to Malham Beck via fields and a green lane. Primarily an easy to read description of the route, this guide also gives background information on a more varied walk than the one taken by the typical visitor to Malham.
