A Swedish nobleman, a contemporary of Bach, Benjamin Franklin, Kant, Wesley, and Newton, scientist, philosopher, theologian, revelator and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg lived during the height of the Enlightenment, in period, when one person could master in a lifetime the full sweep of Western philosophical and scientific thought. A prolific writer and author of philosophical works, he is best known for his book “Heaven and its Wonders and Hell”.
Published in 1758, this book represents the detailed description of the afterlife and how people live after the death of the physical body.
