Comfort From the Psalms


The writers of the Psalms faced difficulties. Whether they were dealing with persecution, loneliness, grief or even the prospect of death, they knew there was a source of comfort to whom they could turn for relief. While providing for their every need, this "God of all comfort" (II Corinthians 1:3) to whom they turned inspired these men to write of their anguish and of the strength they received from the loving Lord.
