Daughter of Heth


Catherine Cassilis was orphaned by the recent death of her father and moved to Southern Scotland where her uncle who was a Minister lived. Her Catholic upbringing brings her into immediate conflict with the sternly Presbyterian household she made friends with Lord Earlshope. Lord Earlshope invited her to a journey. During a trip around western Scotland Lord made a confession of his love to Catherine, although he is already married, but estranged from his wife. But some days later the wife of the Lord came in the city and Lord Earlshope abandons Coquette and disappears… What happened next? Read the story to know!
