Charles G. Leland was an American scholar, humorist, essayist and folklorist. In accordance with journalist’s working, Charles G. Leland travelled extensively and became interested in folklore and folk linguistics. During his travels he lived and studied with the Algonquin Indians for months at the same time recording their stories, myths and legends.
“How Glooskap Found The Summer” is a Native legend about a chief of Indian people named Glooskap, who goes in a faraway lands in search of Summer for secure his people from Winter's icy breath. Glooskap the warrior fighting against evil and possessor of magical power is the legendary figure of the Wabanaki legends.
