It is import to look at and understand Mein Kampf for many reasons. There are many books telling you what you ‘should’ do along your self improvement/spiritual path, but nowhere, except in Mein Kampf is it laid out what happens if you do the opposite. Hitler faced a series of situations where he had a choice and each time he chose the way of evil. Often he gave ‘spiritual’ reasons for his choices and often they seemed ‘logical’ but the result of his choices was a decent into insanity. Mein Kampf chronicles, often in an articulate manner, Hitler’s descent into insanity that begins by seemingly logical decisions. The decisions Hitler made are the sorts of decisions any of us could make if we do not understand the results.
All over the world politicians are once again feeding populations the same ‘logic’ used by Hitler. To stop the world once again descending into insanity we need to look at the lessons of Mein Kampf and understand what is happening. This is not a political book; it is a book about choices. It is about Hitler’s choices and the same choices we face today. It is about where our choices will lead if we do not understand our choices. What Hitler can teach us is what not to do if we want to avoid the world once again slipping into total insanity.
