An Orange Wild Rooster is the first in a series of four Bo Rohas Adventure novels. Rohas, a seasoned homicide detective with the Port Jennifer police force, having been burnt out from the rigors of seeing dead bodies every day, not to mention needing a raise in pay, makes a decision to enter the electrical construction apprentice program through the electrical union in Port Jennifer, Texas. Having one of his best friends as a mentor within the union, assured Bo Rohas a smooth transition into and through the four year electrical apprentice program. However, when his mentor is murdered, he is compelled to transition back into the role of homicide detective with the Port Jennifer police force in order to track down his mentor’s killer.
As Jodie Gonzales, Alberta (Peaches) Goff and a fiery redheaded chef form New Providence the Bahama’s enters Bo’s life, his complicated world of searching for his mentor’s killer becomes more convoluted each and every day.
The south Texas and Cajun humor throughout the book, the unexpected an unbridled amount of bare female skin Bo Rohas finds himself encircled with, coupled with an unexpected huge sum of money would be enough fodder for a good reading fiction novel. However, throw in a large drug smuggling, prostitution and murder for hire crime syndicate stretching from Port Jennifer, to Houston, to Las Vegas Nevada and the Bahama’s, not to mention the murders of more of Bo’s best friends, ends up being this fast pace, humorous, mysterious, intriguing, and suspenseful, page turner you will not want to put down.
