Sofia is a young princess who lives under the curse of an evil witch. The curse would bring great despair to not only the princess, but also the kingdom’s people, should she wander into the castle’s rose garden. Sophia knows the rules but, one day, a butterfly lands on her hand, trapped in the castle. Feeling sympathetic, she wanders outside to free it, and finds herself in the rose garden. As foretold, thorny vines sprout everywhere and begin to overtake the garden and castle. Everything seems to get bigger to Sophia and she realizes that she is shrinking. Before she knows it, she turns into a butterfly! When she’s told that the curse will be permanent should she fail to reverse the spell by nightfall, Sophia starts to worry. Even though being a butterfly is fun, she knows she can’t live like this forever. She’d never be able to see her parents again if she did!
With newfound vigour, she embarks on a journey with a group of friendly critters in search of the fairies. However, dusk is approaching quickly…will she find the elusive fairies in time?
